Hello fellow bloggers! My name is Susan Norman, and I am so excited to be the new librarian at JRE! Mrs. Dolan created a magnificent library, and I’m so proud to now be a part of it.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I’ve been a teacher for 26 years, and a great portion of those years saw me in the role of the reading specialist. In fact, I’ve been the Dyslexia teacher at Shafer Elementary for the past six years. So as you can see, reading is a huge passion of mine; I want every student to love reading as much as I do, and I strive to show my students the wonderment that is available to them 24 hours a day–and it’s at their fingertips–just one page away!

My other passion is my family! I’ve been married to my husband, Jerrie, for 26 years, and I have an 11 year old son, Jude, who will be entering junior high this year.

I’ve met so many of my students and parents on the three days we’ve opened the library this summer. There is still one more day to come, which will be on Tuesday, July 24th. I hope to see you there!
