The JRE Library was honored to host local author, Kathy Duval, yesterday. Ms. Duval shared her latest book, A Bear’s Year, with our First Graders, who loved the book with its beautiful illustrations. Ms. Duval went on to explain the book making process. Our students were entranced as they learned the many steps it takes to turn one idea into a book in the hands of its reader. We also learned this many tiered process takes a lot of time, maybe even as long as five years!
The presentation was a great learning experience and inspiration for us all. We cannot wait to see what our Retriever authors have in store for us!
